About
Hi there. I’m Mary Ann Osko, a lifetime Oklahoman. I love a great idea and a great cup of coffee — especially when they come bundled together. My hope is that, like a great cup of coffee, this blog will help facilitate some positive, creative conversations among friends and fellow Oklahomans who’d like to improve the quality of life in Oklahoma.
Not that Oklahoma isn’t already a fantastic place to live. I just hate how it gets a bum rap. So I’m on a mission to spread the news about interesting, and perhaps surprising, things that are happening in our state. There are some pretty cool people doing some pretty cool things in Oklahoma, and I invite you to join them in the movement to move Oklahoma forward.
A little background — I live in Norman and own a PR and advertising firm, Osko Communications. I have a mutt dog named Zoe and a husband named Zach. They both have an unhealthy obsession with Goldfish crackers. I have an unhealthy obsession with Oprah and The People’s Court. In my freetime, I volunteer for the Sooner Theatre Board, Norman Music Festival and Big Brothers Big Sisters. And rescue lots of lost dogs.
